GIS Software to Serve as Backbone for Chinese Rural Land Registration and Certification Program

SILVER SPRING, MD -- September 9, 2009 -- A land registration system, International Land Systems (ILS), Inc.'s LRS software, based on ESRI geographic information system (GIS) software will be used in the implementation of a Rural Land Registration and Certification Project in China's Anhui Province. International Land Systems (ILS), Inc. was selected by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to implement a registration and certification program based on ESRI's ArcGIS software platform. DUSHANBE, TAJIKISTAN -- September 8, 2009 -- A conference marking the closeout of the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Land Reform and Market Development Project II (LRMD II) took place on Friday, September 4. U.S. Charge d'Affaires, Necia Quast and Deputy Prime Minister, Murodali Alimardon were in attendance with stakeholders in the project's effort to help strengthen land-related legislation and land policies in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
