OpenTitle is based on the pro-poor land rights recording system - the Social Tenure Domain Model (STDM) which uses industry-leading technology to record private, public, customary/tradition, individual, and group rights. You can group information related to property, persons, and rights into a single property package in the form of either a report or title. By creating a property package, OpenTitle significantly expedites the process for you to register or certify land.
OpenTitle makes it easy for you to digitize land records by making information capture simpler. Information includes cadastral surveys, maps, scanned documents or images, aerial imagery, photos, videos, and GPS boundary readings. You can also georeference information and input coordinate information so that property information is correctly mapped.
Using Esri GIS technology, OpenTitle contains several GIS tools including mapping, editing, and visualization functions. The Mapping module is highly intuitive and requires minimal specialized GIS training. With OpenTitle, you can tie the evidence of ownership and documentation to a geographic reference point using the Mapping Module. Import any format of maps (CAD files, CSV files, shape files, and images) and use annotation or raster operation tools to make the map clearer. The Mapping Module also allows you to measure a distance or area on a map, or search for households, parcels or addresses within a map.
OpenTitle is supported by a protected database that has safely stored information for organizations around the world. The system monitors everything that is entered into the database and provides the administrator with full activity reports on what is in the database and who is using it.
OpenTitle's Reports Page offers many tools to generate, view and print reports. Also track how efficient your organization is by generating reports on staff productivity and time spent on processing and collecting information.
